Founder, Chairman & CEO
Curt Thornton has more than 30 years of executive experience in technology and general management – both domestically and internationally in multiple markets. Mr. Thornton has successfully launched four start-ups, taking one company through an IPO, and most recently taking Provision public through a reverse merger.
As Founder and CEO of Provision, Mr. Thornton has created an impressive board of industry leaders including the former CEO of Apple Computer, and formed partnerships with companies such as Rite Aid, Intel and Fuji.
Prior to founding Provision, Mr. Thornton served as Executive Vice President of the Iwerks Entertainment Corporation, where he was responsible for the assimilation of two acquisitions that positioned the company as the market leader in projection technology. He also held senior management positions with Nortel and Tandon Computers.
Over the last two decades, Mr. Thornton has traveled and conducted business around the globe, managed corporations on several continents, and has been an instructor at the University of California and California State University campuses.
Mr. Thornton holds an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Engineering from Western Illinois University.
Executive Vice President, Business Development, Sales
Bob Ostrander has more than 30 years of sales and business development experience, both domestic and internationally. While at Baskin Robbins, Mr. Ostrander was responsible for $350MM in manufactured sales to franchise stores through manufacturing operations at four owned and operated and five co-packing plants. Additional responsibilities included Food Service Sales, licensing and review of strategic acquisition and joint venture opportunities. At Baskin Robbins Flavors, Mr. Ostrander quadrupled revenues in four years from $8MM to $32MM through the development of frozen drinks and sales to sister companies such as Dunkin Donuts and Hiram Walker.
Following Baskin Robbins, Mr. Ostrander was brought in as President of two food companies as a turn-around specialist. At Kan Pak LLC, based in Arkansas City, KS, he developed brand and sales strategies for this aseptic flexible packaging company that grew revenues from $10MM to $23MM in two years. At Cappuccino Americana, based in Bensenville, IL, he acquired licensed rights to Chiquita, Mott’s and Welch’s resulting in increased sales from $6MM to $24MM in two years.
Mr. Ostrander has held positions in sales and manufacturing at Allied Domecq, Kraft Foods, Sara Lee and Welch Foods. He holds an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. from the State University of New York.
Vice President Engineering
Jeff Vrachan has worked in commercial and industrial electronics design, software and manufacturing systems development for more than 25 years. Mr. Vrachan has held progressively key positions at Allied Signal, Mitsubishi Electronics and Southwestern Industries.
Since 1999, Mr. Vrachan has been an integral part of Provision Interactive Technologies’ management team. He is a technology visionary who has been instrumental in the design and development of Provision’s world-class 3D HoloVision™ products. He is currently developing the next generation of HoloVision™ products utilizing the latest technologies available.
Mr. Vrachan has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, and a B.B.M. from the University of Phoenix.
Vice President Media Sales
Joe Turner is a successful media sales expert, with more than 20 years' experience both selling and in managing sales teams. He has a consistent history of finding incremental revenue streams while achieving budgetary goals.
Mr. Turner comes to Provision from Verifone Media's Taxi division. Anyone who has ridden in a New York City taxi recently has seen the results of Mr. Turner's efforts. As Provision's Vice President of Sales, he oversees sales from the newly opened New York City sales hub, located at 450 Lexington Ave.
Joe Turner began his career at TCI Cable in Baltimore, MD, and later worked at Comcast in Philadelphia and at Cablevision in Northern NJ. His first foray into Outdoor advertising was with Clear Channel Outdoor's Taxi Top division in NYC. He began at Clear Channel as a National Account Executive and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager working with sales reps in NJ, Westchester and the Hudson Valley. Mr. Turner also worked at Branded Cities, before moving to Verifone.
Mr. Turner holds a BA from Towson University, and attended graduate school at Central Michigan University.
